On this date in 2011 at the Harvard Club in NYC, CDO Club founder David Mathison presented the first-ever “CDO Talent Map” to David Lord’s ESIX community of CHROs at F500 companies, a document which covered CDO career path, compensation packages, reporting structures, and variety of demographic info such as agem race, gender, etc.
The presentation was enthusiastically received by the audience, who encouraged Mathison to continue his work mapping out this “new” title. At the time, there were just a few hundred people on earth who held that exact title. Now of course there are thousands of you, doing the hard work of digitally transforming some of the world’s most prestigious organizations.
